It is reputed that F1 cars can be driven upside down on ceilings. However this has never been demonstrated either in real life or simulation. If it had I'd know about it... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Which begs the question: Is anyone ever going to demonstrate this in a simulation thus opening the door to a proper real life demonstration by a current F1 driver? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

    Kimi Raikkonen gets paid £25 000 000 a year...

Which begs the question: Is it possible to spend £25 000 000 a year on alcohol?! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Is it my imagination or is this the funkiest pitlane exit on the F1 calender? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Why can't all pitlane exits be like this? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Looks like this is going to be the one and only GP where when the director cuts to a pitstop I'm not going to get up, go to the kitchen and make a cup of tea! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Unless someone crashes in the tunnel, it'll be a boring race, can't see much overtaking happening apart from kers cars on the first lap or 2 if its as dusty as it has been in clips I have seen so far.

Is 38 a good age to be thinking of restarting a modern F1 career? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Jacques Villeneuve says he still has "the drive, passion and craziness."

I have to concede that his desire to race in F1 again is testiment to his craziness... But is it the right kind of crazy?!! Or is it the kind of crazy that gets you killed!?

On a return to racing, in his own words:
"it's in my blood and that's what I was born to do. I'll probably die a racer." [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I am quite pleased with the way things have gone this season... being British and of part Afro-Caribbean origin it has been the best of both worlds. Jenson Button has performed remarkably well and won the Driver's Championship and Lewis has got over an early season yump, performing brilliantly whenever the car has allowed. Even Lewis' crash at Monza was testiment to a fiesty Champion, driving on the very edge of the car and his own abilities.

In fact, says the Official F1 website:
Lewis Hamilton has been the top-scoring driver since July’s German
Grand Prix with his 40-point haul, while the team as a whole - with the
help of Heikki Kovalainen - have scored 58. That’s two more than
champions Brawn have managed, 14 more than traditional rivals Ferrari
and just three less than Red Bull.

    They quote Martin Whitmarsh:
“If we look at the second
half of this year, then Lewis has scored more points than any other
driver, and we are a couple of points light of Red Bull."
“So hopefully this weekend we can firmly establish ourselves as having won
the second half of the season. I very much hope and believe that we
have a good chance of winning in Abu Dhabi.”

Abu Dhabi will certainly favour the McLaren's aero challenged car, as there are no highspeed turns and perhaps as few as three medium speed turns. In Monaco, Hungary and Singapore Lewis was a lot faster than the Red Bull and Brawn drivers, factor in that it is a new circuit and that Lewis is possibly the quickest learner (challenged only by Sebastian Vettel), I fancy Lewis and McLaren's chances of being the top team and driver of the second half of 2009. It is unfortunate that there are no prizes.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]However I could remedy that by inventing a prize, commissioning a trophy and sending it to them in the post.

Nico Rosberg has announced today that he is leaving Williams but declined to say where he is going!

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Top tips are a straight swap with Rubens or a seat next to Lewis at McLaren...

Either drive would be a real coup for the thin German... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I beg your pardon, of course I mean German/Fin. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

He tastes of peppermint and cloves, which is ok if you like your German's cold with salad. But heated up he tastes awful... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] and doesn't go with any of the usual vegetables except fennel, which is not a particularly nourishing vegetable, though I'm told it has theraputic properties. Does anyone have any idea what F1 drivers taste like?

I have a suspicion Jarno Trulli tastes like chicken but I wouldn't like to hazard a guess at any of the others.

Curiously I have eaten bits of myself from time to time and it would appear that non-F1 driving Snowies taste like lamb. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
