The Poulsen livery is almost identical to the ETCC one (only Finans Nord changes place, and the number on number plate is different Razz) I think Mardionu can make it easily Razz

I think SR-Sport should spend their money on the more needed things instead of changing their liveries every round.

Polestar are looking to have at least 1 Volvo C30 out for the Brands Hatch round, and possibly for Okayama as well, it's in Autosport this week.

Thompson is also looking at trying to be out for the Brand Hatch round, possibly in a petrol engined SEAT or in the third Bamboo Engineering Lacetti.

He is also trying to put a deal together to run with Team Dynamics for the remaining ETCC races but they'd need to find funding and Steve Neal doesn't seem that keen about it

Colin Turkington to race in the WTCC
Reigning British Touring Car Champion Colin Turkington will join the field of the World Touring Car Championship this year, in a car run by West Surrey Racing.
“I feel this is a natural progression for me after last year’s championship,” said Colin.

Surprised there hasn't been anything from WSR yet.

Colin said on Twitter some big event this week to look out for - guess it could happen tomorrow.

There's no weight changes for Portimao either - all cars running the same weights they did at Zolder

eBay MOTORS BACK WSR FOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CAMPAIGN

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The championship winning pairing of West Surrey Racing (WSR) and Colin Turkington will be reunited next month as they take to the world stage to contest the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) in their eBay Motors-backed BMW 320si.

The Sunbury-on-Thames-based team has secured the backing of the UK’s largest automotive marketplace, eBay Motors, and will be fielding their BMW 320si for three meetings; contesting the Portimao, Brands Hatch and Brno rounds.

WSR, who are currently supported by eBay Motors in the domestic British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), will be sporting an eye-catching Anglo-German livery for the WTCC rounds; eBay.co.uk has more than 18 million visitors a month and the company sees the WTCC as an ideal platform from which to reach motoring enthusiasts across Europe and beyond.

Current British Touring Car Champion Turkington will be making his first race appearance of the season and is keen to execute a strong performance in the world championship.

The 28-year old driver from Portadown commented, “I’m really excited about racing again, being back with WSR and having the backing of eBay Motors. Like always I’m hoping to do well, obviously it’s difficult to know what to expect; it’s my first race of the season but I know the car inside out and although I’ve only been for a single test day at Portimao I have a good idea of the track and its layout so we should be fine."

WSR Team Principal Dick Bennetts commented, “We are very excited about taking on the best in the world and it is great to have Colin back on board for this along with the support of eBay Motors who have made it possible. We will be contesting the next three rounds and then hopefully be in a position to compete in Japan and Macau at the end of the year when we have fulfilled our BTCC commitments. Our main target will be to make a strong impression in the Independents’ category, we know the competition will be tough but we will be looking forward to the challenge.”

Andrew Hooks of eBay Motors commented, “We have been supporting the WSR team in BTCC this year and we’re delighted to be able to extend that. Europe is very strong marketplace for us, especially in the UK and Germany and we feel that the FIA WTCC, along with WSR and Colin, will provide us with a great platform from which to showcase our offering to European buyers and beyond.”

    WSR WTCC Calendar

    Portimao, Portugal 4th July
    Brands Hatch, GB 18th July
    Brno, Czech Republic 1st August

Originally on the WTCC site he was down as number 36 as well - they changed the number a few days ago to 29, I guess WSR asked for a different number or something?

Maybe it is me - but I have been disappointed with the ProTeam this year, I thought they would be faster than they have been now they have Hernandez and D'Aste back.

Thought Colin did a great job. James Thomson said after practise yesterday they decided that Turkington was a bit too fast, so even though he has the older aero pack on the car, he is running the same weight as all the 2010 spec BMWs now.

Should be a good race, hoping the SEAT's tyres fall to bits after a few laps

Let Monteiro win ! As Portuguese, Monteiro has to win in Algarve, if he wins, it'll be very good for us Wink

ProTeam seems to have an undeveloped car :/ I don't know why they're having bad results with the 2 best Independents drivers :s Now Turks is the better Razz
