Knockhill is licensed for 32 cars - so to make it fair the BTCC only allow up to 32 cars so that no one has to miss out.

Realistically they won't reach the limit anyway.

Colin Turkington could be back - there is someone who posts on another forum who is usually very accurate who says it looks more likely to happen than it has done for quite a while.

WSR will be announcing their line up in the next few weeks - they have 1 driver signed and 2 more who they are close to signing on.

MG announcement could be released very soon as well.

yes I know the situation of the track limitations. Same with Le Mans pit-boxes. Although if you count all the possible entries too, you come around the 40 cars. I think it shouldn't be wise to have a maximum grid size at forehand, only for full season entries. If the track allows it, why not fill up the grid by race-by-race entries? If only the WTCC could get that numbers...

Team ES Racing will be back, 1 NGTC car and 1 S2000 car signed, second S2000 car still possible, currently in negotiations

Robb Holland will be back for at least 2 rounds later in the year in a third Tony Gilham VW Passat too (possibly alongside a full-time WTCC campaign it seems)

Another entry for the list, will add it in as a possible for now until it appears on the BTCC website/ driver is confirmed but it looks like this entry is looking likely.

A new team called SDT Racing who have competed in Ireland before have bought an S2000 spec Opel Astra GTC car that they plan to race. Their original plan was for an S2000 Vectra but they have since changed. Car due to arrive early February:

Colin Turkington back in BTCC with eBay Motors:

Very strong line up, plus the benefit of a third car that can score points for the team if one of the other 2 fail to finish.

Even if a few of the already announced deals fall through it's going to be a busy grid this year.
